Dev Notes

Y3550R wrote patch notes the way a solo stealth designer writes them: added a thing people begged for, then added a limit when they broke the puzzle, then shipped a minesweeper extra because multiplayer in the cell was a nightmare. This page keeps that voice next to the dry patch log. Parent: updates.

Themes in the notes

Ask and you might get it. CellRecordingAccess.scos exists because the community asked. Quick Restart exists because retries hurt. Mobile exists because handheld players asked. None of those are codes; codes remain empty.

Ask and you might get a limiter. High Security control-center disable got a cap. That single line is why the High Security guide tells you to main shutters.

Jokes with a paper trail. Sterling Crown replaced a harsher name. Seed 3550 on extras. A silent music-loop fix. INTERSWEEPER’s whiteboard is the joke and the manual.

Multiplayer is a test, not a sequel. The notes warn WIP, missing QoL, bugs. INTERSWEEPER is the test article. Chase was tweaked to stay compatible. Read INTERSWEEPER with that warning on.

Chase is design, not cruelty. Update 12’s note is almost an apology-comedy: of course a guard would not raise a cinematic alarm after you stuffed someone in a closet in under a minute. Chase makes Chapter 1 consistent with future chapters that were planned.

How to use this archive while playing

  • Match the end-screen version to a note before you trust a YouTube cam count.
  • If a file name appears in a note, look it up on NPCs rather than on a fake code list.
  • If a note mentions extras tab emptiness, you are early. Update 6 added the tab before the toys.

Hiatus versus notes

Dev notes stop when the public builds stop. Silence after July 2024 is not a hidden Update 99. It is the hiatus. When notes resume, they will probably sound like these: a plus, a star, a hash, a joke.

For the human behind the hashes, creator. For the intended player habits, getting started. For the list of dates, stay with the patch log after you finish this tone piece.

We do not rewrite the notes into marketing. The value is that they exist at all on a Roblox stealth demo this small.

A few lines players miss when they only skim hashes: the extras tab launched empty on purpose (Update 6), which means an empty extras menu is a dated build, not a broken install. Seed display in F9 is how you prove a board is shared. Console players seeing Q was a real bug with a real hotfix — if your 2026 client shows Q on a gamepad, you may be on a mirror.

Notes also quietly document philosophy. “Limit” is a design word in this project. High Security’s disable cap, INTERSWEEPER’s WIP warning, chase as consistency rather than punishment. When a future note adds Chapter 2, expect the same pattern: a toy, a limiter, a joke.

Read them beside creator so the hashes have a human, and beside guides so a named file becomes a route. This archive is not a spoiler dump; it is a translation layer for people who only saw a YouTube thumbnail. Keep it bookmarked beside the dated table.
