Getting started in INTERCEPTOR

You are a hacker in a cell, not a raid boss. Play like it.

Getting Started

INTERCEPTOR is a traditional stealth sci-fi adventure on Roblox with a phone as your only real weapon. Y3550R (coolmangreat4173) shipped Chapter 1: The Cell Block on 24 March 2024 after an August 2023 development start. You wake up inside a private military site, intercept its devices, and leave without pretending you can win a firefight. If you came from Entry Point or Watch Dogs, keep the vibe and drop the sequel expectations — the creator said this is not Entry Point 3.

This beginner page is the on-ramp for the guides hub. Bind it next to controls and hacking. When you are ready to finish the prison wing, open the Cell Block walkthrough.

What you are doing in the first ten minutes

  1. Read the cell. Notes and objects exist for a reason; INTERCEPTOR loves files with ugly names.
  2. Open the phone, intercept the nearest camera, and close the UI when you are done. Players get stuck staring at a feed. Closing is covered in controls.
  3. Move when cones are off you. Crouch is not optional flavor.
  4. Treat every laptop as a loot table of credentials, not a novel. You need commander credentials, specialist credentials, and east entrance access from the security room — details live in the walkthrough so this page stays a primer.
  5. Do not toggle High Security on a first run. Rank modes later on the difficulty list.

Mindset that actually helps

You are not a tough mercenary. The official blurb says so, and the detection rules enforce it. A guard who sees you can end the attempt. After Update 12, some sightings also feed a chase instead of an instant full fail, which is kinder but still not a combat sandbox. Learn the chase context after you can leave the cell on default settings.

RNG exists on extra levels and some laptop timings. The main menu can set a seed; the developer console (F9) shows it. That is for INTERSWEEPER and extras, not an excuse to brute-force Chapter 1 forever. Quick Restart exists so a spotted run dies fast.

Platforms and the join button

PC was first. Mobile support arrived in Update 3. Console prompts were patched so they do not show a keyboard Q when they mean R2. If the experience will not open at all, you are probably in the hiatus window, not a graphics bug.

Server size is 50 on paper; Chapter 1 still plays as a solo puzzle. Multiplayer testing lives in INTERSWEEPER. Do not wait in the cell for a squad to carry you.

Common first-session failures

  • Phone will not close after the second camera and the credentials steal. Leave the overlay with the same toggle that opened it; do not mash movement hoping the world returns.
  • Hacking a camera that is no longer there. Some layouts changed between patches. Trust current cones, not a March 2024 memory.
  • Dumping every recording. You want specific files. NPC pages tell you whose laptop matters.
  • Looking for codes. There are none. The codes hub explains why.
  • Injecting a universal script. Empty catalogue, high risk: scripts.

After the first escape

Replay for the canonical undetected badge, then High Security. Read creator notes if you care why Sterling Crown replaced an older joke name. Keep official links for Discord and the Roblox page.

The embedded video above is a community overview of systems known in the demo window. Use it as a visual of the phone and halls, then come back to the written hacking loop so you are not copying a route that a later camera patch broke.

You now know enough to stop treating INTERCEPTOR like a simulator. Go learn the binds, then intercept the first feed on purpose.
