How to hack in INTERCEPTOR
Intercept, hijack, download — then put the phone away before a cone finds you.
Hacking is the whole combat system. INTERCEPTOR lets you intercept cameras, hijack doors and intercoms, pull credentials off SC/OS machines, and distract people who would otherwise end the run. This page is the verb list. Apply it inside the Cell Block walkthrough and rank the toys on the hacking tools tier list.
If you still think this is a shooter, return to getting started. If the overlay traps you, return to controls.
Intercept cameras first
Cameras are not just fail states. Intercepting a feed lets you see a hallway you are about to enter and, in some cases, rotate the cone away from your body. Intercept does not always disable detection. A camera you own can still report you if you walk in front of it like a tourist.
Order of operations:
- Hide.
- Intercept the nearest cam.
- Look through it for guards and for the next node.
- Rotate or jam only if you must.
- Close the phone.
- Move.
Launch-week footage shows a camera that later disappeared after a patch. Trust the live cone, not a memory. The undetected guide assumes you treat every remaining cam as live.
Download files with a purpose
Laptops and SC/OS terminals are loot. Community clears agree the security room really needs three downloads: commander credentials, specialist credentials, and east entrance access. Extra folders are flavor, jokes, and optional gadgets.
Named tools worth a detour:
- CellRecordingAccess.scos — added in Update 1 after community request. Found on a specific person, not as a Twitter code. See NPCs.
- CommanderSnoringNoise1.mp3 (FunnyRecordings) — play on the intercom to peel east-entrance guards. This is the difference between a fight you cannot win and a door you can walk.
- Specialist credentials — used to close shutters.
- Donuts — physical, not a file, but they belong in the same “make a human leave” toolkit.
Dumping every recording wastes laptop timing. Some machines are tight; High Security makes that worse. If a community clip says “I got lucky on the laptop,” they mean the minigame window, not a drop chance for Robux.
Jam, disable, and know the limit
Jamming a camera or killing a control-center cluster is powerful and loud in design terms. High Security Mode added a limit on control-center disabling so you cannot freeze the whole prison forever. That is why the High Security page exists as a separate route, not a difficulty slider with extra HP.
Engineers can talk to you if you hack the forklift in front of them after a catch — Update 1 color. It is a character beat, not a skip.
Intercom and social hacks
You are an interceptor, not a ghost with zero toys. Playing the snore file, pinging a location, or calling a distraction is intended. Using a universal ESP script is not. Keep “social” hacks in the phone; keep scripts closed.
Trace-the-source style beats appear in launch playthroughs: you read who owns a machine (Samuel Jones and other names) and decide whether to intercept them. Those names are filed under players.
Mid-run checklist
- Phone closed before you cross a doorway.
- Only the three security-room credentials in your mental inventory unless you grabbed a named gadget.
- Intercom loaded before you approach the east gate.
- Control-center disables budgeted if you queued High Security.
- Quick Restart bound if the laptop minigame bricks.
The video in the middle of this page is a real demo playthrough that spends most of its runtime inside the phone. Pause when they open a folder and ask whether that file is one of the three you need. Then finish the route on Chapter 1 and, if you care about style, canonical.
Hacking is how INTERCEPTOR tells a story. Read the ugly file names. They are the loot table.
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers for stealth, hacking, and the 2026 hiatus.
How do I hack cameras in INTERCEPTOR?
Hide, intercept the feed, look or rotate, then close the phone before you walk. Intercept is not always a full disable.
Which files do I need to download?
Commander credentials, specialist credentials, and east entrance access. Optional gadgets are listed in the Cell Block walkthrough.
How do I get the east entrance guards to leave?
Play CommanderSnoringNoise1.mp3 on the intercom. Donuts handle other roamers.
Why does jam stop working on High Security?
Control-center disables are limited in that mode. Plan them on the High Security page.
